A bunch of flowers can make a Mum very happy, but it is also lovely to receive something which lasts a little longer, a bunch you can continue to grow.

Wrapping her favourite bulbs in newspaper or, better still, your own hand painted wrapping paper is a sweet way to make your bunch feel a bit more homemade. 

In these pics we have wrapped white hyacinths in some chopped up squares of the FT newspaper – we like it because it is pink and the bundle is tied it with stripy butchers string or a ribbon.
