Receiving flowers in the post is one of life’s little luxuries. Who doesn’t enjoy the scent of fresh cut blooms in the house – especially as we get more impatient for Spring?

So we were thrilled when florists Bloom & Wild asked us to collaborate with them on a competition – to offer one lucky winner a year’s worth of flowers, delivered fresh through their letterbox each month.

Bloom & Wild are the original letterbox flower delivery company. It’s a genius idea: your freshly cut blooms arrive in a sturdy cardboard box that fits neatly through your door. And it’s such a lovely experience receiving them. The moment our box arrived in the studio – at the end of a particularly tricky day! – our spirits lifted.
We’d been sent the Maisie bouquet, a riot of wild flowers that included snap dragons, yellow freesia – which smell delicious, phlox, bouvardia, september, craspedia – the lovely yellow pompom, bupleurum and solidago. The flowers smelt divine and looked like we had picked them on a walk in the countryside.

The idea of flat packing flowers really appeals to us. A lovely mix of practical and magic. The freshly cut stems arrive in the bud, wrapped in beautiful paper and tied with a dove grey ribbon. A couple of days later, the flowers are continuing to blossom and the house is filled with the most wonderful scents.
